Galileo after her arrival in Tortola The Multihull Company
Phil Berman was fortunate in June this year to be able to meet up with Eric and Sari Boutiette and their crew in Soper's Hole, Tortola, during their pit stop before heading to Florida and then on to Maine. While they had to endure some very, very light winds for much of the trip from Cape Town, Galileo performed to expectations and arrived in Tortola with just a few minor things to sort.
The Raymarine plotter needed a two-hour reboot and correction from Ray agents in Road Town, the Iridium phone needed to be replaced by Iridium for a malfunction, and the Victron combi needed a slight calibration adjustment to allow the generator to operate at full output. For an 8,000 mile, maiden delivery I'd say that is one minor list of issues, and, once again, our hats are off to the team in St. Francis for another gorgeous 526 arriving safely in North America. Eric and Sari have graciously agreed to allow Balance Catamarans to show Galileo at the upcoming Annapolis Boat show this coming October. Her light gray hulls look smashing!
