Coast Guard suspend search for a possible person in water off Plymouth

The Coast Guard suspended the search for a possible person in the water, Monday in Plymouth Harbor. A local fisherman originally spotted an overturned, unmarked 10-foot lime green kayak with a paddle at about 4 a.m. and reported it to watch standers at Coast Guard Sector Boston. Following the report, Coast Guard and local responders searched a 29-square mile area for over four hours, but did not find anyone. There are no correlating missing person reports.
The search included:
• Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod: MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter
• Coast Guard Station Scituate: 29-foot rescue boat
• Duxbury Harbormaster
• Plymouth Harbormaster
• Kingston Harbormaster
• Plymouth Fire Department
The search is suspended pending any further developments.
