More than 1,000 official Shaggers (members of the Shag Islet Cruising Yacht Club) are making their way to the pristine waters of the Whitsundays (Cape Gloucester Resort, Hideaway Bay and other locations) to show their support for the Prostate Cancer Australia Foundation as part of the annual SICYCRendezvous that runs from 24 to 27 August 2017.
The imagery shows 400 Shaggers holding hands to form the Prostate Cancer Logo in in the backdrop of the azure waters of the Whitsundays. In doing so, they drive awareness and raise money for Prostate Cancer in Australia and its impacts to more than 3,000 men every year.
Hosted in the stunning turquoise waters of the Whitsundays, yachties from over 240 visiting vessels from around the world will gather in their dinghies in the shallows just off the beach from Gloucester Eco Resort holding “hands across the blue” in the shape of the Prostate Cancer of Australia (PCFA) logo with the backdrop of the azure waters of the Gloucester Passage to drive awareness of the cancer that takes lives of more than 3,000 Australians per year.
