Quicksilver - all-rounder appeal with something for everybody

From their regular position at Sanctuary Cove, Collins Marine – a 13 year veteran of this Queensland show – had great response from its two marques on display: the Arvor Weekender and two models from new brand, Quicksilver, the 605 Open and the 640 Pilothouse, kitted up with a 50hp 4-stroke outboard.

As Peter Collins explains, the Quicksilver brand offers a lot of depth in its range of 19 models, and with pricing ranging from under $30,000 to $200,000 covering all styles from offshore fishers, ski boats, day boats, cruisers, there’s something for everybody.

'Affordability is the key,' he says of this award-winning European made range. Quicksilver Boats are manufactured by the Belgium based company, Brunswick Marine Europe.

'Intelligent design and beautiful contemporary styling means these boats offer great versatility for a fun day out, no matter what the use. Responding to customer research, safety has been designed into key aspects of the boat.'

Feedback from the boat show indicates people are impressed. 'We sold a few Quicksilvers and a Weekender post-show. The Open Quicksilver is a perfect boat for a market like the Gold Coast, whether you’re lounging around, taking out the family or fishing.'

At Melbourne Boat Show, Collins Marine will support its Phillip Island Marine dealer with an Arvor 280 on show for the first time and the Arvor Weekender.

The latest campaign from Collins Marine, running with the quirky theme: 'Wife Steals Boat', has generated a lot of positive feedback and cut-through in a cluttered market, intent on focusing on horsepower and hull composites. 'This is essentially our branding for the boat show program and will run through to Sydney,' says Peter, which will be the official launch of Quicksilver.

At the Sydney Boat Show, Collins Marine will have two stands – one on the marina with four Arvors on the water and four Quicksilvers on trailers in the Hall.

'The Quicksilver 705 will be launching in Sydney. Sydney is our biggest show, with exposure to 90,000 people. The 705 will generate a lot of interest. It is outboard driven, very contemporary, with high usability, and its price point will be very interesting.'
