In October of 2003 the Ritchie family purchased a 56' Maple Leaf Sloop. This started a family adventure beginning with learning how to sail, upgrading the boat and then leaving on a 2 year trip around the Pacific. Join us for the first Calgary Club Night of 2019 and enjoy an evening with the Ritchies as they talk about some of the issues and adventures they encountered along the way.

Costa Rica to Panama
An interesting, challenging, but somewhat disappointing adventure We made it to Panama at 1100h on New Year's Day after quite an eventful New Year's Eve. Postcards from a Caribbean Winter - Part 6
Cruising in the Azores archipelago just seems to get better with each passing day The Azores are young geologically, and shield volcanic islands are not typically blessed with an abundance of natural harbours. Therefore, good anchorages are limited and even then they are usually exposed to weather in at least one or two directions. Posted on 10 Apr
