Adventurous souls seeking inspiration for cruising (or competing) are making tracks to the definitive hub of multihulls at The Boat Works, where a massive out-of-water display covering two acres and spanning every make, model and size allows them to compare features and converse with the experts.
The display, which is year-round, is boosted each year when Multihull Solutions hosts its annual Open Day, 23 March boasting a remarkable 'cluster of cats, power and sail' both new and pre-owned.
As Director, Mark Elkington explains "it's the ideal opportunity for those considering a multihull to inspect a great cross-section of brands from all over the world".
"Along with our beautiful new boats, we have a range of top-quality brokerage boats in power and sail from Fontaine Pajot, Leopard, Lagoon, Privilège, Grainger, Seawind, Shionning and more, ranging from $200,000 to $2 million and suited to every type of use.
"They are competitive brands, but our main objective is to offer the best choice for people and match the right boat with the right owner. This has proven very successful for our brokerage business and we find this approach results in clients for life."
The benefit of this sensational "Out-of-Water Boat Show" is that visitors are able to inspect boats at their own pace, look around, under, onboard and ask the experts who will be on hand to explain every facet of the vessels.
There will also be a schedule of information sessions covering cruising, looking after your boat, charter and syndication, plus site tours so visitors can see the diverse array of marine professional on site.
"It means people can enjoy a more comparative inspection of the models," says Mark. "The Boat Works is a great facility. You can see the specialist tenants for any refit work, post-sale customisation, electronics and accessories they're all there.
"Boat shows can be quite hectic and we encourage people to make appointments during Sanctuary Cove or Sydney. Whereas our Open Day is more relaxed. There's a fantastic waterfront restaurant, entertainment, it's a brilliant setting. People can take their time and get the information they need.
