The Cruising Association (CA) is hosting an Open Weekend at its London headquarters at CA House, Limehouse Basin on Saturday 29 February and Sunday 1 March.

A number of high-profile marine brands have already signed up to exhibit during the two-day event and the author, journalist and broadcaster Tom Cunliffe is confirmed as guest speaker for the Saturday evening.

Free to attend day time events

The FREE to attend day time events commence at 10:00 and finish at 18:00 on both days and anyone interested is being asked to book in advance for the two-hour time slots throughout the day.

The CA is promising a terrific line up of three expert speakers in each of four x two-hour slots per day, all sharing their specialist cruising knowledge and/or discussing general boating topics. Further details on speakers and subjects will be announced in December.

Naturally anyone is welcome to book for two back to back slots if they wish. Information and booking details can be found under the relevant listing here

Saturday's schedule is rounded off with the option of booking a place for Tom Cunliffe's talk starting at 19:30, followed by a hot buffet at 20:30. The cost for the evening's entertainment and supper is £22.50pp.

Top marine exhibitors

The CA has also attracted a broad range of top marine brands to sign up to exhibit and staff will be available to talk to visitors about their products and services. Those already confirmed include Raymarine, Navionics, Imray, ASAP Supplies, Limehouse Basin Marina, Gill, ICOM, and of course the Cruising Association who will be offering any new members signing up on the day, a 10% discount on their first year's membership fee when paid by DD.

There will be daily prize draws open to everyone attending. The Big Draw prize of a seven-day Fairview Yacht Charter for CA members to enter, launched at the Southampton International Boat Show in September, closes on Sunday, March 1 when the CA will be drawing the lucky winner's entry and also announcing the next Big Prize Draw.

The CA is Britain's leading organisation for cruising sailors with 6,400+ members around the world, providing services, information, and regulatory and technical advice to sailors worldwide through RATS, a committee of the CA.
