Seventeen top racing classes have confirmed that the International Paint Poole Regatta 2020 will be part of their racing circuits next year.

Now fully committed, with the race weekend in their schedules are the:

  • IRC Classes 1, 2 & 3 including The GBR IRC Southern Area Championship sponsored by Spinlock
  • Fast40+
  • Performance40
  • The new IC37 class
  • Quarter Ton
  • J80's including Class Nationals
  • J24's including Class Nationals
  • XOD
  • RS21's
  • Redwings
  • Shrimper class including Southern Championship
  • Flying Fifteens
  • 2.4mR class including Tidal National Championship
  • VPRS Classes 1 & 2 including Class Nationals

The diversity of classes and highly experienced regatta management team sets the stage for a spectacular long weekend of competitive action on the water no matter what keel boat you sail. The associated class championships hosted at Poole mean plenty of silverware is on offer, alongside a chance for your crew to be featured through the strong media interest in the event.

Alongside International Paint as title sponsor, MS Amlin Boat Insurance and Poole Harbour Commissioners are also confirmed to return as sponsors in 2020. Spinlock will be sponsoring the GBR IRC Southern Area Championships and more announcements are to be made shortly.

Feeder races to the Solent are being organised in conjunction with the Round the Island Race on 29th June and with special berthing deals in Poole for boats competing at both events, Poole Regatta makes the perfect Round the Island Race warm up. Alongside this, as the prestigious J24 World Championships are being hosted by Parkstone Yacht Club later in the summer, Poole Regatta provides the perfect training ground for teams who want a podium finish.

The International Paint Poole Regatta will be run between the 23rd - 25th May. The Notice of Race will be published at the end of November, but for more information in the meantime visit pooleregatta.co.uk. Make sure to follow us on facebook or instagram @pooleregatta as well.
