New boat register initiative for Minisail class

The Minisail Class continues to enjoy an enthusiastic following. The latest initiative is to create a register of all the known surviving Minisails, as well as whatever detail still exists on the ones that are now lost forever!

Have a look at the website at www.minisail.org.uk and please follow the link to fill out the form with any details (or photos) you may have.

In particular we are keen to get a better handle on what year boats were made, so if you used to own a Minisail (and can still recall the sail number) then please add the data, however incomplete.

The photo shows Minisail No.10 in astonishingly original condition, one of number of recently restored boats and the oldest known survivor at almost 60 years old...

Minisail championships at Bough Beech
Revived event held during the CVRDA nationals Six Minisails got together at Bough Beech SC in Kent to hold the first championships the class has seen since it faded 30 years ago. 2 sailors came from Belgium to take part, 2 from the south coast, one from Norfolk and one from the Cotswolds.
