Dear Barton Followers,

We hope you are all remaining well and are staying occupied during this unprecedented situation for our nation and the world. We wish everyone who falls ill a speedy and full recovery and we remain cheerleaders for those who are still working at home or in businesses  - and especially appreciate those in the essential services who sacrifice for all of us to support the country. Endless thanks from us all at Barton Marine!

To date we have no cases of Coronavirus amongst the Barton team and whilst adhering to government social distancing advice, an intense cleanliness strategy and altering our work practices to suit, we currently remain open to respond to the supply chain requests and your orders.

This time at home allows us to get on with those jobs that may have been put off for a rainy day.  Over the coming weeks we are going to share useful information, videos and hints and tips to help you undertake projects and plan purchases.  Remember that many retailers are still open via their online shops and desperately need your help to survive the next few months.  Let's all be ready to get back on the water as soon as possible and ease the boredom of being trapped at home by focusing on our boats and the love of being afloat.
The Dinghy Show
It was only four weeks ago that we were all at Alexandra Palace showcasing the latest boats, equipment and sailing talent.  How long ago that feels, but what a great show it was.  The Beat the Barton Block Clock attracted a constant flow of entrants trying to win the £100 daily prize and the Streaker Dinghy fully kitted out with Barton gear was a popular centre piece.  It was great to meet so many of our loyal customers and answer all of your questions about the range.  Our unique 12 faced Ratchet Block went down a storm and who can forget our life-sized, walking, dancing block!
Have you ever seen a dancing block?  Click to watch now!
Our two daily winners of the Beat the Barton Block Clock were Maya Korouei in 17.16 seconds on Sunday and Amelie Curtis in 18.29 seconds on Saturday.  They each won a £100 voucher to spend on Barton Equipment.  They both had extremely nibble fingers to assemble the components of the block as quickly as they did.  Maya features in the picture below.  Click here to see the video of Christian demonstrating how it is done (not anywhere near as quickly though)
