The Aircalin Match Racing Cup started this afternoon in perfect sailing conditions. Although the sun was veiled, the southerly wind was steady in strength and direction at around 12-15 knots. This day was dedicated to the Round Robin, so each crew met all the other crews.

Yann Rigal (2018 title holder) came out top in the provisional ranking. The young crew of Corentin Goulon are right behind him with Tom Picot (2019 title holder) third. The matches, as we expected, are very hard fought with penalties and the win only confirmed when the finish line is crossed!

Tomorrow, the counters are reset to zero. We're going back to the semi-finals, i.e. elimination matches. Yann Rigal has the difficult task of choosing his opponent. He will have to win 3 matches to reach the final. It is the same for the second pair who will have to win 3 matches against his opponent to reach the final.

Day 1 Ranking:

1/ Yann Rigal, Jocelin Dupont, Clemence Mathieu, Théo Boré
2/ Corentin Goulon, Benjamin Benhayoun, Thomas Hautier, Emilie Bouchet
3/ Tom Picot, Ysaline Demaret, Victor Goyard, Auxence Thomas
4/ Tugdual Piriou, Mathieu Landrieu, Christine Gaillard, Awen Guttin
