OCC Port Officer Rep is working hard to make the Maldives accessible to cruising yachts. As of 27 December 2020, there will no longer be a charge for the cruising permit for yachts 15m or less.

I just want to inform you all that today (27.12.2020) the President has ratified the bill to the Tourism Act to no longer take "Cruising Permit Fee" from vessels smaller than 15m. With this amendment to the Tourism Act, it is confirmed that from today onwards (27.12.2020) vessels smaller than 15m can get a free cruising permit for 180 days.
