Bright sunshine, warm temperatures and medium winds made a summery one day regatta at Strathclyde Loch on May 15th.

Main traveller fleets were the Challenger class of trimarans, and Laser 2000s, there for their first Caledonian Ring event of the year. Many visitors came from nearby Clyde CC, and figured well in the prizes.

In the Challengers, Alexander Hodge took three wins to top the class, and Amy Buchan topped the Slow Handicap fleet in her Topper, also winning all three races. In the Fast Handicap, all three places were taken by Albacores, with Crawford Reid and Izzy Martin winning out. The Laser 2000s included one or two well travelled visitors among their seven boat fleet, but Jim and Margaret Galloway from nearby Loch Venachar took the year’s first traveller event.
