On 12 and 13 March the one-design classes of Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club will relocate from their usual urban territory of Victoria Harbour to the wilds of Port Shelter in Hong Kong's New Territories to take part in the 2016 Jeanneau Class Regatta.
Around 40 boats will race against each other on RHKATI handicaps, with Etchells, J/80 and Sportsboat fleets competing for the Long Course title, and Dragon, Flying Fifteen, Impala, Pandora and Ruffian classes racing for Short Course honours.
With a drop in temperatures and decent breeze forecast, competitors should be in for a good weekend's racing, with two races scheduled for Saturday afternoon and three races back-to-back on Sunday. Winners will be presented with their silverware at the Jeanneau Class Regatta Prizegiving, which will take place on the Main Lawn at RHKYC Kellett Island on Monday 14 March from 1900hrs.
