Dometic introduces next generation smart trim tab system which brings a completely new level of precision control and many technical advantages including user programmability. A true game changer for the industry which opens up many possibilities for boat builders and boaters.

Dometic has launched a new Smart Trim Tab System designed to give owners of inboard/outboard and outboard powered boats a level of precision control never before possible. This new system is truly a "smart" reinvention of the trim tab — offering robust construction, user programmability, quick, accurate response, connectivity and intuitive operation.

"Today's modern vessels are becoming smarter and more connected," said Eric Fetchko, President of Dometic Marine Americas. "With this new introduction, we've taken trim tab technology and performance to a new level for boat builders and boaters alike. This will be a true game changer for the industry," Fetchko added.

Dometic Marine has engineered the Smart Trim Tab System for use with inboard/outboard vessels, as well as today's popular high-performance boats, powered by single, twin, triple or even quad outboard motors. It has the ability to connect with the Optimus Electric Steering System, joystick control and shift-throttle controls for the ultimate boating experience.

Dometic's CAN-based smart actuator can also be used as a standalone component that can integrate with a boat's control system. For instance, using this connected technology on a towable, wake boarders and wake surfers will be able to precisely control the shape/size of their wake by commanding an exact actuator position, rather than guessing actuator run time to estimate the position.
