The team at Cowes Week are delighted to announce that entries are now open for the 2020 regatta which takes place 8th-15th August. Our Super Early Bird discounts end at midnight on 17th January.

Cowes Week is much more than just another windward-leeward boat race. It's a regatta that tests all of the different sailing skills, combined with what has been for many years a get-together that brings together sailors from around the Solent, around the country and around the world.

We are running nine IRC classes this year to enable us to give the best racing possible with narrow rating band differentials and with our ever expanding cruiser fleet we have made the strategic decision to create separate performance cruiser divisions and a club cruiser division. We need to be able to offer these distinctly different boats fun and competitive racing with like minded crews in similar types of boats. This change will benefit those with a more competitive bias, sailing modern high-performance cruisers, as well as for teams who are perhaps newer to racing or sailing with genuine friends and family crews.

At the other end of the spectrum we will be welcoming the 44Cup class for a round of their European circuit, further evidence that Cowes Week remains amongst the world's leading keelboat regattas.

We are already working on the sailing instructions and have some exciting racing ideas and we will be working long and hard to make sure that we deliver you world-class regatta racing in August.

There will be a daily prize-giving this year which we think should be a great social occasion every evening and don't forget to put together your yacht club team of three boats and enter the Solent Team Trophy. Invitations have gone out to your clubs around the world and over the next few years we want to turn this into a really great interclub competition. You need one boat from the black group, one from the white group, and the third boat can be from either, with the deadline for entries in the middle of July.

In 2020 we will be joined once again by the SailGP Foiling 50 catamaran event on the final Friday and Saturday to entertain you after Cowes Week racing. These 50 knot flying machines will be racing right off the Green and will form an amazing backdrop to Cowes Week.

We are looking forward to welcome you to the sunny Isle of Wight on August 8th 2020. Enter before midnight on 17th January 2020 and you will be in with a chance to win a full rebate on your entry fee plus a range of great prizes.*(see details below).
