Live Ocean Racing jumped up the leaderboard, to lie in fourth place after the second day of racing in the first event of the nine team 2023 EFT26 Series.

Rounding out the day with a win and finishing in the first three in all but one of today’s five races sees Live Ocean Racing lift from 6th overall up to 4th in the ETF26 standings at Spi Ouest-France Banque Populaire Grand Ouest regatta.

“We finished the day with a win, so we’re really happy about that,” says Liv Mackay. The team took the win in what’s known as the RAID – one of two long distance races in their schedule for the regatta. Across the four short format reaching start races sailed today Live Ocean Racing placed 2nd, 3rd, 6th and 2nd.

Day 2 saw 14-17 knots of wind in the morning making for big waves and challenging conditions. As the day progressed the wind decreased.

“We had a range of conditions throughout the day and the team really enjoyed it. We’re excited to keep building on it for race day three tomorrow,” says Mackay.

TeamPro retain their overall lead, Entreprises du Morbihan are in second, with Burecapital in third.

Tomorrow’s schedule includes another five races on what is the penultimate day of the regatta.
