Live Ocean Racing will head into the final day of the ETF26 SERIES opener holding 4th overall after another cold, windy and wavy day on Quiberon Bay, France.

Five races were sailed today with a morning breeze of 15 knots, dying through the day to around 8-10 knots.

"Today was a bit of a character-building day for the team. Certainly not everything went our way... we had a gear breakage in race one which put us on the back foot," says Coach Jason Saunders.

"But the good thing is we finished well with the RAID [long-distance race]and the boat's going pretty fast in a straight line. Tomorrow there's a bit more breeze forecast so I think we're going to be in for some exciting racing and I'm pretty sure we can come out with a good result."

Skipper Liv Mackay was relieved the breakage was able to be repaired quickly so they could get back into racing. The team recovered well, and in the racing the followed were able to unlock some fast modes and chip away through the fleet, closing in on the leaders in every race.

"The other four races were good. We were coming back through the fleet a lot which is good. There's been a lot of learnings and everyone is learning super quickly," she says.

Teampro retain their overall lead, Entreprises du Morbihan are in second, with Burecapital in third.

Tomorrow is the final day of the regatta with up to five races in the schedule.
