We are all set for the first edition of the EUROSAF eSailing European Championship. The event will take place online from 17 to 29 May 2023 and will be broadcasted on EUROSAF Social Channels. About 10,000 eSailors are expected to take part in the qualifying stage.

17 to 29 May 2023 online - collaboration between the Italian Sailing Federation (FIV) and EUROSAF

This championship was strongly desired by the EUROSAF Vice-president Marco Predieri, who followed, with interest, the incredible progress made in Italy with the eFIV project of the Italian Sailing Federation (FIV). Furthermore, after the successes and high quality achieved by the eFIV project in Italy, Nicolo Gatti CEO of Sombrero Sport thanks EUROSAF and says that this is an opportunity to expand a serious and structured eSailing project at international level. Virtual Regatta, the official software, has made itself immediately available to support the event on its own platform.

The European winner of the Open Division will be awarded in June in Genova, Italy, - in person - at the finish of The Ocean Race. For this occasion, FIV will be awarding the Mille per Una Vela Trophy to the first Italian eSailor.

The Notice of Race of the event has been published and can be found here.
