Eleven of the world's best eSailors from six countries - including three-time 49er world champion Bart Lambriex - will battle it out in a live final of the 2023 eSailing World Championships and a grand prize pot of $10,000 USD courtesy of Virtual Regatta.

The eSailing World Championship Grand Final - streamed live on the World Sailing YouTube channel from 3pm CEST on 6 October 2023 - will be hosted by Barcolana 55, presented by Generali, the world's largest sailing regatta, held annually in Trieste on the second Sunday of October.

Dutchman Lambriex, who finished third last year, will be looking to add the eSailing crown to the 49er title he won in August's Allianz Sailing World Championships.

But Lambriex is just one of a high-quality field which also includes defending champion Alexandre Kowalski of France, Great Britain's Arthur Farley, who was second last year, and 2023 Olympic Esports Series winner Tim Carpentier. Kowalski and Carpentier are two of four French eSailors in the final alongside Tristan Peron and Jean-Marc Reibell. For the first time there is a strong contingent of finalists from Asia with Japan sending Yuya Takubo, Taichi Muakami and Toshiki Korgure.

Each player has competed in a season-long campaign beginning in January where thousands of players from around the world took part in three stages. Competition was whittled down through more than 63,000 races across 32 challenges to leave just 11 remaining.

Each player must complete across a variety of races using Star, Nacra 17, Laser, J70, 49er and F50 boats, with the final race worth double points to take home the title.

Full line up:

1. Sandra Schaer, Yuzu - SUI
2. Tristan Péron, UOL asere - FRA
3. Tim Carpentier, UOL pepitÕ - FRA
4. Yuya Takubo, FC RICH - JPN

The 2023 eSailing World Championships is being held in Trieste as part of World Sailing's collaboration with the Barcolana Regatta, now in its 55th edition and organised in collaboration with the Municipality of Trieste, the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, and the presenting partner Generali.
